This site uses many features featured in modern browsers and authoring tools, as well as techniques that simply weren't possible just a few years ago. Here are some of the technologies that we used:
HTML5
We used HTML semantic elements like <header>, <article>, <section>, <nav>, and <footer> for logical organization and accessibility. We also used HTML's video capabilities, and APIs like _________.
Video
For the archived videos of the presentation, we used the HTML <video> element with fallbacks for multiple codecs, and WebVTT and Timed Text for the captioning. This was not suitable for live video streaming yet, however, so we used Flash video for that; however, as the Open Web Platform matures, we will use HTML <video> for all purposes; here are some of the things in early stages of standardization that will enable that: _________.
CSS
We used these CSS3 features _________ to do these things _______. We used presentations queries to make it pretty on mobile devices
Web Fonts
The fonts are WOFF fonts, making a much more beautiful site. The main font is Kulturista Web by Suitcase Type Foundry, hosted through the Typekit font service, with a fallback to Georgia, Times New Roman, and a generic serif, respectively. We also used .
The text is using Unicode, in UTF-8 character encoding, and the language is English, indicated by the char="en" attribute on the root element.
Javascript Libraries
jQuery for the parallax effect and the fluid scrolling; we wrote a custom fluid parallax effect for the scrolling as well. Remy Sharp's html5shiv to help older browsers use HTML5 properly.
Graphics
SVG is used for something...

We used Microformats to mark up the dates and location.
